Investors Aware of Economic Bubble: Minister

VIVAnews – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati warned the investors who wanted to make investments in Indonesia to be cautious with the economic bubble in the country. The warning was following the recovering global economy and the coming new world.

Indrawati said that the central banks had to give a large value of dollar-denominated fund into the market due to the 2008 – 2009 crisis. “The Federal Reserve had given US$2,400 trillion, which had been put somewhere,” said Indrawati in Jakarta on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

“Therefore I urge [investors] to be receptive,” she added.

The global economy generally will be adjusted in 2010 – 2012. However, the Minister said that the crisis had yet to end.

“I warn [the investors] due to the policies in 2010 [which involves] finance ministers to have a consolidation,” she added.

Therefore, the Minister suggested that a good investor would prepare different scenarios for running the Indonesia’s economy. The preparation is mostly for anticipating the changing macro economic policies.
